We suggested a hackathon during IETF 126 to implement a minimal Multicast extension of QUIC: mumuQUIC. After very positive results, we presented the outcome at the end of the hackathon and further detailed the advancement to the QUIC working group.

During the upcoming ACM SIGCOMM 2025 conference, I got the opportunity to present a demo about Flexicast QUIC. The objective of this demo is to initiate the first Internet measurements of this extension of QUIC. I leverage Automatic Multicast Tunneling (AMT, RFC 7450) to connect multicast receivers from the multicast source across non-multicast networks.

I presented the last updates regarding Flexicast QUIC and its implementation at the MBONED working group. The objective was to promote the design, and present the open source implementation of Flexicast QUIC based on Cloudflare quiche.
